Dixie Ripple 1941 - 2007

Dixie Ripple of Austin, Potter County, PA was born on October 26, 1941 to Clifford Stuckey and Kay Neff Stuckey. She was the parent of Rhonda Ripple Valenti. She married William H. Ripple, and they had children Vicki Ripple Roberts and Laurel Ripple. Dixie Ripple died at age 65 years old on April 13, 2007, and was buried on April 17, 2014.

In 1941, in the year that Dixie Ripple was born, in his State of the Union address on January 6th, President Roosevelt detailed the "four freedoms" that everyone in the world should have: Freedom of speech, Freedom of worship, Freedom from want, and Freedom from fear. In the same speech, he outlined the benefits of democracy which he said were economic opportunity, employment, social security, and the promise of "adequate health care".
