Sweet girl
I remember seeing Destiny when I went on a tour of Pine Ridge Elementary as I was being interviewed for a teaching job there. She must have been a third grader. I remember that she asked me whether I was going to be a teacher there. It was unusual for a kid her age to be so comfortable talking to a random adult like that! But she was always friendly and poised.

A couple of years later I had the chance to teach Destiny during a fifth grade summer school class. She was a sweet kind girl with many friends. I knew Richard better because he was in my class for a year, but I am glad I had the chance to know Destiny, too.
