He married Margaret Lynette (Haupt) on June 29, 1974 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church 201 West Blodgett Street, in Marshfield, Wood County, and they were married until Margaret's death on October 1, 2023. Dennis Chiti has children Robert Phillip Chiti, Andrew Dennis Chiti, and James Robert Chiti.
