I am the husband of Deanna Lee Perkins. She is/was the Granddaughter of Demetrio Jordan and Anna Maria (Zimmer) Jordan. Demetrio and Anna came to the United States (New York) on the Philedelphia from Cherbourg, France on either 10 or 11 December 1910. They had two daughters. Margaret and Joshphine both born in the US. Demetrio worked in the coal maines in Clay Co., Indiana while in the US. Anna was a housewife. Demetrio Jorda was not his real name. It was changed by the Immigration & Naturalization Service upon his arrival in the US. They couldn't pronounce his real name so they changed it. On a paper we have it shows his name as Demitrio Zordan. It show his Father's name as Dioseppe Zordan. The o in Dioseppe may not be right. Too had to read. His Mother's name is shown as Domenica Lovato.
Demetrio was born in Novale, Italy on 22 August 1882
Anna Maria was born in Heller, Luxemberg on 09 March 1884.
