    Delta Warren Bird was born on August 19, 1888 to parents John McCeland “Jack” Byrd (1862-1931) and Nancy Jane Williams (1858-1925). He had half siblings including Eugene Rice Rhoden (1878-), James Usry Rhoden (1880-1965), and John Vincent "Vince" Rhoden (1882-1964). On June 9, 1910 he married Nora Luella Maxwell Bird (1892–1964) in Conway County, Arkansas, USA. Together the couple had children including Floy Eugene Bird, Leo Freddy Bird, Luther Woodrow Bird, Veta Lorene Bird Phillips, Vida Ruth Bird Ussery, Dorris Bird Lipe, John D Bird, and Myrtlene Bird Trautman. They lived in a small frame cottage in Perryville, Arkansas . He was blind and had rheumatoid arthritis which totally deformed his fingers making his hands inoperable. He loved vanilla wafers and would have a few with every meal.

He married Nancy on December 21, 1885 in Conway County, Arkansas, USA. He worked as a farmer to support his family. John passed away on December 26, 1931 in Chicot County, Arkansas, USA. His mother Nancy was born in June of 1858 in Arkansas, USA. She married John on December 21, 1885 in Conway County, Arkansas, USA and gave birth to their son Delta. She was also with Thomas "Tom" Wiley Rhoden (1855-1881) and together they had sons Eugene, James, and John Rhoden. She passed away on October 22, 1925 in Solgohachia, Conway, Arkansas, USA.

This was my grandfather. He and his wife lived in a small frame cottage in Perryville, Arkansas . He was blind and had rheumatoid arthritis which totally deformed his fingers making his hands inoperable. He loved vanilla wafers and would have a few with every meal. We would spend a few weeks in the summer with this beautiful man.My favorite uncles , Floy and Leo Bird lived near Perryville as well. I would love to know more of his ancestry if anyone has knowledge. Thanks……Roger Ivan Phillips
