David was a wonderful, thoughtful, generous, selfless man. He dated my mother years ago and did so much to help her and us 5 siblings. He helped us have a nice home to live in...bought me my first pair of contact lenses (meant so much to me as a 7th grader wanting to be pretty)...and he treated us kids and our mother with love and respect. He was in a wheelchair because of a terrible roll over accident he'd had earlier in his life. He didnt let that get him down though. He founded VAIL (valley association for independent living) in South Texas and did much good to help the disabled community. He was baptized around 1996 into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in McAllen, TX. Though my family moved away from Texas and never knew of David again, he will always be very dear to us.
