Six children play in the yard at Gordon, Boone Co, WV. Far right is the earliest known photo of McKinley Webb, age 6; behind him is his sister, 4-yo Dana Mildred Webb. In 2001, my then 83-year old Aunt Dana had a clear memory of the day this photo was taken, how she was shy and tried to hide behind my dad. She could not recall who the four children on the left were but knew they were "cousins;" nor could she recall why they were so "duded up," in their best clothes. She thought it might have been Easter or a funeral. This was not their regular Sunday church clothing.
