Daisy Sargeant Freedman 1889 - 1921

Daisy (Sergeant) Freedman of Cranbourne, Victoria Australia was born in 1889 in Geelong, VIC to Sargent Henry Freedman and Kate Freedman. Daisy's partner was George Henry (Harold George) Dobin in 1910, and they were together until death separated them on January 6, 1921. They had children Claude Leslie Dobin, Florence Mabel Dobin, and Cecelia Dobin. She also married Harold (George) Henry Dobin, and they had children Claude Leslie Dobin, Mavis Flora Thompson, and Cecilia Dobin. Daisy Freedman died at age 31 years old on January 6, 1921 in Cranbourne, and was buried on January 7, 1921 at General Western Cemetery in Geelong West.

  • Introduction

    Daisy (maiden name Sergeant) was born in 1888 to Henry and Kate (maiden name Ford) Sergeant. Daisy married Abraham Freedman on 5th February, 1906 and their daughter Gladys Daisy was born on 15th May, 1906. Gladys married Louis Kervarec in Ballarat in 1927 and they had two children - Ramon and Leon Paul David. Daisy and Abraham separated and Daisy went on to have three other children with George Dobin. The three children were Claude Leslie, born 19th January, 1911; Florence Mabel born 1915; and Cecelia born 6th January, 1921 (stillborn). Daisy died in childbirth when Cecelia was stillborn. Daisy is buried in the Western Cemetery, Geelong.
