Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

I heard from family that Criena never married. Criena was the sister of my great grandmother, Pearl A. Mahoney Padgett of Washington, DC. Other siblings included: brothers Maurice W. and Stanley Lee, of Washington, DC; sisters Bessie Ballenger of West Hyattsville, MD, and Viola Johnson of Fairland, MD. I was told that the family was from Herndon, VA but all birth records were lost in a fire at the church.
