    Clyde LaVern Jasper was born on March 5th, 1924 in Elkhart, Iowa to Henry Lewis Jasper (1884 - 1966) and Orpha Ann (Replogle) Jasper (1887 - 1970) and he had siblings Louella (1916 - 2002) and Everett LeRoy Jasper (1921 - 1977). On his June 1942 World War II draft card, Clyde described himself as being 18 years old, 6 feet one inches tall and as weighing 155 pounds. He had blue eyes, brown hair, and a "light" complexion. Clyde Jasper, who was 21 years old, married Myrtle Ann Pitts, who was 18 years old, on May 14th, 1944 in Elkhart, Iowa. They didn't have children. He then married Juanita and they had three daughters: Shirley, Sherry, and Bonnie, and two sons, Clyde Jr. and Terry. He was survived by three grandchildren: Joe, Danny, and Kim.     CLYDE L JASPER ElHart Ia - Clyde L. Jasper, 63, of rural Elkhart died of a heart attack Monday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ankeny Funeral Home, with burial in Brethren Cemetery in Elkhart. Mr. Jasper was a lifelong resident of Elkhart and he retired last March from All Tech. He had been a member of Polk County Farm Bureau and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Juanita; three daughters, Shirley Johnson, Sherry Wolford and Bonnie Jasper, and two sons, Clyde "Stormy" Jr. and Terry, all of Elkhart; a sister, Louella House of Bethany, MO; and three grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Elkhart Christian Church. - The Des Moines Register (Des Moines, Iowa) Thursday, January 28, 1988 on page 17.
