Clinton Arwine of Dora, Walker County, Alabama was born on August 18, 1898 to Walter Clinton Arwine and Mildred Ellen Foster. Clinton Arwine had a sibling Dixie Arwine Barnett. He was the parent of James Alvin Tucker. He was the parent of Mildred Ellen Arwine. He married Maude Falls. Clinton Arwine died at age 83 years old in August 1981 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Jefferson County, and was buried at Shanghi Cemetry in Quinton, Walker County.

In 1898, in the year that Clinton Arwine was born, on March 24th, Robert Allison of Pennsylvania became the first person to buy an American-built car. He bought a Winton, which he had seen in an advertisement in Scientific American. The Winton, built in Ohio, was made by hand and came with a leather roof, padded seats, gas lamps, and tires made by B.F. Goodrich.

In 1920, at the age of 22 years old, Clinton was alive when Italian born factory worker Nicola Sacco and fish peddler Bartolomeo Vanzetti were picked up by police on May 5th in connection with the April 15th murder and robbery of a guard and a paymaster at the Slater and Morrill Shoe Company in South Braintree, Mass. Although in later years they were thought to be innocent, they were anarchists and were convicted of the crime and put to death.
