    When Christine Armstrong was 13, she was living with her parents in Barnes, Woodruff county, Arkansas. Father John was 50 and mother Mattie (Hatchet) was 46.. Also in the household were siblings Luther, 23, James, 16, Mary, 11, Pauline, 9, and Virginia, 6. Dad John was a farmer and Luther was also working on the farm. Christine Armstrong, 17, married Cardinal Williams, 27, on December 23, 1933 in Woodruff, Arkansas. When Christine was 32, she and Cardinal were living in Bakersfield California with their children Linda, 13, Gene, 11, Mary, 8, Edward, Darleen, 3, Wayne, 2m and Genevive, 29. Dad Cardinal was the only one working and he was a handy man for the railroad.
