    Redding Record Searchlight on August 06, 1965. "Mrs. Luise Carolina Grokenberger died in a Redding hospital yesterday. She was 75. Mrs. Grokenberger was born May 20, 1890, in Germany. She had lived in Redding for 24 years. Mrs. Grokenberger leaves two sons, Eugene of Montgomery Creek and Adolph oh Glen Ellen; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Furlong and Mrs. Elsie Goforth both of Redding, Mrs. Clara Parham of Round Mountain, and Mrs. Gertrude Schneider of Sacramento; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren She was a member of the Montgomery Grange. The time has not been set for funeral services. They will be conducted at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Redding. Burial will be in Halcumb Cemetery near Montgomery Creek. Pall bearers were Louis Boehle, Harvey Krogh, Elsie Haunschild, Nick Kabanuk, Dean Braucher St. And Harold Hickey. Burial was in Halcumb Cemetery near Montgomery Creek. Funeral arrangements were made at McDonald's Redding Chapel."
