Cherries Arabatzi was born in 1926 in Volos Greece, and had siblings Dimitra Gacis, Theodore Arabatzi, Maria Arabatzi, and Helen Hunt. She was married to Panagiotis Papadopoulos and they later divorced in Athens. Cherries Arabatzi died at age 68 years old in 1994 in Athens.

In 1926, in the year that Cherries Arabatzi was born, on November 15th, NBC was founded. It was the U.S.'s first major broadcast network. Ownership of the network was split between RCA (a majority partner at 50%), its founding corporate parent General Electric (which owned 30%), and Westinghouse (which owned the remaining 20%).
