He had one brother and one sister, Anthony and Elaine Quici. Charles never married. Born and raised in Bristol Pennsylvania, Charles lived in Bristol most of his life. He briefly had a second residence in Croydon, Pennsylvania but he died in Bristol.

The first artificial nuclear explosion took place near Alamogordo New Mexico on July 16, 1945.
