My dad (dead beginning of June 2015) was the son of Jacob Gelbart, a jude born in Poland in 1897.
Jacob ad 2 brothers, Nathan dead in Auschwitz and Charles.
Up to now, I have got no information concerning Charles Gelbart: was he the father of Hélène, Max and Paula, who died in Auschwitz or the father of David and Maurice, who died in Kaunas / Reval? Was he married?
Charles Gelbart was employed at the infirmary of Auschwitz with Georges Guichan.
Charles survived and was the 1st to talk in 1946 to the French community about nazi's atrocities
