    Charles Donald Shoecraft was born to Charles Vincent Shoecraft (1886-1951) and Zilpha Lilly (Hurst) Shoecraft (1884-1963), and had a brother Warren Abrey Shoecraft (1911-2002). Charles enlisted in the United States Army on January 20th 1942 in Santa Fe New Mexico and served until discharge on February 1st 1946. On December 19th 1946 he married Mary Rae Cotts (1925-2012) in Dallas Texas and they had a daughter. On September 17th 1965 he married DeLoyce McDonald (1921-2013) in Clark County Nevada.

He lived in Dallas until 1961 and then moved to Waco Texas. Charles died in Dallas in 1978.
