Catherine (McElmon) Langille was born in 1861 in Massachusetts United States to Amarilla J. (Elliott) McElmon and John Noble McElmon, and had siblings John Howe McElmon, Elledge Havelock McElmon, and Newton Talmadge McElmon. Catherine Langille married Edward G. Langille in 1885 in Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality County, Nova Scotia Canada, and died at age 41 years old in 1902 in Canada.
