Calvin Gail Cragun of 1129 Greenway Drive, in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada United States was born on November 27, 1916 in Idaho Falls, Bonneville County, ID to Calvin Cragun Jr. and Alice Rebecca Rowe. Calvin Cragun had siblings Vern Rowe Cragun and Benjamim Rowe Cragun. He was the parent of Lamont Gail Cragun, Colleen Renee Cragun, Byron Glen Cragun, and Roberta Lynn Cragun. He married Barbara Cragun, and they had children Kaya Gay Cragun and Kerrina Lenore Cragun. Calvin Cragun died at age 55 years old on July 13, 1972 at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, Clark County, NV, and was buried on July 17, 1972 at Woodlawn Cemetery 1500 N Las Vegas Blvd, in Las Vegas.

    Calvin Gail Cragun (he was called Gail) was the first born son of Calvin Cragun and Alice Rebecca Rowe. He was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Gail had two brothers, Vern R. Cragun b. 28 April 1918; d. 30 July 1961 and Benjamin R. Cragun b. 28 Sept 1920 d?. Gail was a All City Guard on his High School team at Castle Mount High School in Oakland California.Gail was an all around great athlete. He later went to the University of Utah and then was called on a Mission for his Church. He was sent to Brazil. When he returned from his mission he married Florence Mae Jackson (on 26 March 1942; divorced March 1956). Gail had four Children with Florence, Lamont Gail Cragun b. 28 June 1944, Colleen Renee Cragun (Harris) b. 4 Oct 1946, Byron Glen Cragun b. 28 March 1948 and Roberta Lynn Cragun (Aguilera)b. 24 Dec 1949. Gail joined the Army Air Corps and was a pilot. He flew over 21 bombing missions including D-Day. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross with two oak clusters. He also flew in the Berlin Air Lift. After WWII he joined the USAF. He was a pilot and also was in Special Ops for the OSI. On April 2, 1956 he married Barbara Maria Cragun (nee Waltraud Maria Braun) He and Barbara had two children, Kaya Gay (April 23, 1958) and Kerrina Lenore (February 22, 1965. After retiring from the USAF Gail went back to school to earn his Masters Degree and then became a teacher. He was substitute teacher at various schools in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas. In 1970 he had a opportunity to teach school in Las Vegas, Nevada at Clark High School and Von Toble Jr. High School. He was also an owner of a dog grooming salon, The Pampered Pooch with his beloved wife Barbara. Gail was also a world traveler. He wanted to visit as many places as he could and pretty much did. He was a loving husband and father and is greatly missed.
