    CENTRAL ILLINOIS Burtis A. Buchanan, 83, of Springfield died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at his home. Services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 29, in W.W. White Memorial Chapel with Reverend Charles B. Jackson and the Rev. Peggy Senor officiating. Burial will be at noon Monday, May 1, at Camp Butler National Cemetery. - The Taylorville Daily Breeze Courier (Taylorville, Illinois) Thursday, April 27, 2006 on page 2.

My Dad
One of my favorite memories was Daddy building on the den to 2117 South Wirt St.
The smell of the fresh cut wood. And helping him (so I felt)
He'd ask me to hand him the screwdrivers.
Still. Mr. Buchanan was something else. I miss his laugh. Santa Clause only wishes he could laugh. Like that. Miss you Daddy
