Originally airing as “The WSM Barn Dance”, the Opry (a local term for "opera") was dedicated to honoring country music and in its history has featured the biggest stars and acts in country music.

Almost 5,000 landing and assault craft, 289 escort vessels, and 277 minesweepers were involved.
