Billy Malcolm Campbell of Dixon, Rio Arriba County, New Mexico was born on January 30, 1944 to Isaack Newton Campbell and Gladys Campbell. He had a brother John Campbell. Billy Campbell married Wanda Fay (Robinson) Campbell in 1976 in Las Cruces, Doña Ana County United States and they separated in Las Cruces United States, and died at age 62 years old on July 25, 2006.

He graduated as an Aggie from College Station Texas. He was a civil engineer and design engineer and a mathematician. Billy traveled a great deal of the world. He lived in Jax France and worked for CERN laboratories on the super collider. Prior to that, he lived in Las Cruces New Mexico , Where he worked at Johnson space Center. He moved to Los Alamos and work for the national laboratories there prior to going to Searne laboratories. After a period in Denton Texas, he retired in Dixon, New Mexico.

Billy was a wonderful man. A genius in many ways. He was one of the first candidates for astronaut. He worked at NASA and Johnson space Center. He designed the first lunar landing tools. And the lift for the space shuttle. He built his own plane. He was an outdoorsman and loved nature and animals. He was a ski patrol and skilled skier. He was an engineer/scientist. He was an Eagle Scout at a very young age, one of very few.
He loved his boys - Malcolm and Philip , and he was an amazing Cook and connoisseur of red
enchiladas!
Billy had an incredible sense of humor and saw beauty in the smallest things. He was moved by a
beautiful sunrise, sunset, A good movie, a beautiful dance, a song, A good movie, a beautiful dance, a song, a tiny flower , all things lovely.
He enjoyed listening to Willie Nelson Michael Martin Murphey, All genre of music, country, rock, Classical music, Even some of his son, Philip’s
Rap.
Billy loved the world and was a good humanitarian. He went
much too young and he is missed greatly.
He loved dogs! his border collies- Poppy being a first.
