Beth Madsen and the 1926 San Jose High School Girl's Basketball Team. The following was written in the yearbook
"Basketball was conducted this year under a new policy by which championship interscholastic competition was abolished. Seventy-seven girls came out for interclass teams, the largest turnout ever experienced in the history of San Jose High School...Miss O'Neil and Miss Jones are largely responsible for the success of the interclass basketball season."
