Beanie Carson (Henderson) Booth 1891 - 1973

Beanie Carson (Henderson) Booth was born on December 1, 1891 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia United States to Mary Elizabeth (Richardson) Henderson and William Thomas Henderson, and had siblings George Washington Henderson, William Edgar Henderson, Rawley Ellis Henderson, Florence Prudence (Henderson) Hill, Isaac Thomas Henderson, Pendleton Pope Henderson, Dailey Ellen (Henderson) Cole, and Chesley Martin Henderson. She married James Floyd Carmichael on November 16, 1910 in Pittsylvania County. They had a child Ospha Elmo Carmichael Henderson. She married George Washington Booth on October 10, 1917 in Danville, and they were married until George's death on December 1, 1936 in Ringgold, Pittsylvania County. They had children Virgil Herman Booth, Garland Harold Booth, and Marjorie Ellen (Booth) Barker. Beanie Booth died at age 81 years old on June 16, 1973 in Kentuck, and was buried on June 18, 1973 at Booth Cemetery, Kentuck, Pittsylvania County, VA.

    Mrs. G. W. Booth Dies At Age 81 Mrs. Beanie Henderson Booth , a lifelong resident of the Kentuck community , died last night at her residence . She was 81. She had been in declining health for the past five years . She was born Dec. 1. 1891 in Pittsylvania County , the daughter of the late William T. Henderson and the late Mary Richardson Henderson . She was married in 1917 to George W. Booth who died in 1936. She was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church . She is survived by two sons . Herman Booth and Garland -Booth , both of Ringgold Rt . 2 ; one daughter , Mrs. Marjorie B. Barker of Greensboro , N.C .; one step - daughter , Mrs. Rosa McCormick of Danville Rt . 3 ; one brother , Chesley Henderson of Danville ; four grandchildren and five great - grandchildren . Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 4 p.m. from Barker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Durward E. Fox and the Rev. Charlie Shelton . Interment will be in the Booth Family Cemetery at Kentuck . The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7:30 to 9. At other times , the family will be at the residence of Garland Booth , Ringgold Rt . 2 .
