Barbara Maria (Braun) Cragun of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada was born on January 26, 1930 to Frieda Lepine and Walter Gustav Braun. She married Calvin Gail Cragun, and had children Kaya Gay Cragun and Kerrina Lenore Cragun. Barbara Cragun died at age 45 years old on September 15, 1975 at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, and was buried on September 18, 1975 at Woodlawn Cemetery 1500 N Las Vegas Blvd, in Las Vegas.

Barbara M. Cragun née Waltraud Maria Braun was born on January 26th in Berlin Germany. Her parents were Walter G.Braun and Frieda Braun nee Lepine. Barbara had a very interesting life and traveled the world. She married Calvin Gail Cragun on April 2,1956 in Pappillon, Nebraska. She had two children, Kaya, born April 23, 1958 and Kerrina, born February 22,1965. She became a naturalized American Citizen in 1961.She was a beautiful, kind and loving woman, a wonderful wife and mother. She loved all animals especially dogs. In 1971 she bought a dog grooming salon called The Pampered Pooch. She is greatly missed.

In 1930, in the year that Barbara Cragun was born, on August 6th, N.Y. Supreme Court Judge Joseph Crater went through papers in his office, destroyed some of them, withdrew all his money from the bank - $5,150, sold his stock, met friends at a restaurant for dinner and disappeared after getting into a taxi (or walking down the street - his friends' testimony later changed). His disappearance was reported to the police on September 3rd - almost a month later. His wife didn't know what happened, his fellow Justices had no idea, and his mistresses (he had several) said that they didn't know. While his disappearance was front page news, his fate was never discovered and after 40 years the case was closed, still without knowing if Crater was dead or alive.
