    JERRY KENNETH KING, 59 YORK, Pa. - Jerry Kenneth King, 59, of York departed his earthly life Sunday, July 12, 2009, after a short illness. Born July 19, 1949, in Rockford, the son of the late Mose E. and Roberta King. Jerry attended school in Rockford. Served in the U.S. Marines. Last employed by Carma Industrial in York. Survivors include daughters, Nichole Johnson, Latonia (Steve) Harris, Kishia and Candace Tilson, Alicia Dickensheets and Angie Dickensheets; sons, Jerry Kenneth Partee, Dustin LaRosa, Arthur Dickensheets; 31 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Roberta King; sisters, Ruth (William) Yancey and Carolyn Arendt, Bonnie Gilmore; brothers, Larry (Henrietta) King and Vance (Julie) King; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and special friend, Mary Tyler of York. Predeceased by father; brothers, Charles and David King; sisters, Axelina and Dora Mae King.

    ROBERTA 'BERT' KING, 90 ROCKFORD - Roberta "Bert" King, 90, of Rockford departed this earthly life Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, in her home, surrounded by her children. Born July 31, 1920, in Hickory Flat, Miss., the daughter of Vance and Sally Reid. She attended schools in Mississippi. Roberta married Mose Elliott King on Dec. 2, 1935, in Mississippi, of this union 10 children were born. Roberta came to Rockford in 1947 from Hickory Flat, Miss. Last employed by Amerock Co. 25 years before retiring. Member of Rockford Mt. Carmel, serving on the Mothers Board and former member of New Zion Baptist Church for more than 40 years. Roberta leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughters, Ruth ( William) Yancy, Carolyn Arendt and Bonnie Gilmore; sons, Vance (Julie) King and Larry (Henrietta) King; 44 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Dainty; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends, including Portia Stoner, Mary Tyler, Lillie, Donna, Eva and Maria King. Predeceased by parents; husband; sons, David, Jerry and Charles King; and daughters, Axelina Stoner and Dora Mae King. Special thanks to Dr. Kahn, OSF
