My grandfather, Arthur Italino Altieri, was the most intelligent, inspirational, spiritual, kind, generous, wise, educated and loving man I have ever met other than Carlos and gramps. He and my great grandparents, his parents, loved their spouses, their children and their family was their primary focus unlike this "American" culture. He loved the Jesuits and their missions with dedication to God and my grandmother, Madeline, he took care of all of his life and cherished!! They were married 62 years with two children, my mother, and my uncle. My grandfather's ethics and values of our ALTIERI family were instilled in all of us which we are so fortunate to have as a moral compass for our conduct. He loved God and the Bible with relentless love for others with service to others as a requirement of being here on earth seeing God in all!! He loved my mother, Donna, and John, his son, including his sisters, Auntie Elvira, and Auntie Elmina. All I learned from him of my cooking, study skills, managing immoral conduct, running in marathons at a very young age, careful with the worldly people and to love each day to produce light only was his entire purpose here for us and others. My grandfather was serious about everything with very little time for stupidity, a productive and creative person with academic potential he attained throughout his entire life. I was the closest to him other than my grandmother knowing him better than others so appreciative of all he left in my soul!! See you in heaven with grandma!!
