He had siblings Gilbert J Twymon, Josephine (Twymon) Whetstone, Clinton R Twymon, Leacher Chatman, Harold Twyman, Lanette Twymon, Toney Twymon, Johnny Twymon, Belinda Lee, William Twymon, Julius Twymon, and Teresa Twymon. He was the father of Dalametrick Twymon. Arthur Twymon died at age 56 years old on August 5, 2008.

In 1951, in the year that Arthur J Twymon was born, on April 5th, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg (husband and wife) were sentenced to death for treason. They were executed on June 19th. American citizens, they were convicted of spying for the Soviet Union. Their two young sons were adopted by a high school teacher and his wife.
