Arthur Herbert Lloyd of Chadstone, City of Monash County, VIC Australia was born in 1895 in Crossover, Baw Baw Shire County to Alice Mary (Baldry) Lloyd and Arthur Charles Lloyd. He had siblings Lindsay Gladwyn Lloyd, Vera Agnes Baldry Lloyd, Gladys Christina Hepzibah Lloyd, and Muriel Alice Lloyd. Arthur Lloyd married Elsie Lena Clarke in 1921, and died at age 66 years old on September 5, 1962 in Chadstone, City of Monash County.

In 1895, in the year that Arthur Herbert Lloyd was born, on March 15th, in County Tipperary, Ireland, Michael Cleary killed his wife of 8 years, Bridget, and burned her body. His defense was that his "wife" was a changeling that was left in his real wife's place when she was abducted by fairies. He was nonetheless convicted and imprisoned for manslaughter. He spent 15 years in prison.
