Arthur Henley Keller was born on February 5, 1836 in Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama United States. He married Sarah E Simpson Keller in 1858, and they were married until Sarah's death on February 18, 1877. They had children Newsum Darby Keller, Arthur Keller Jr, James McDonald Keller, Fannie S. Keller, and William Simpson Keller. He married Kate Adams Keller in 1878, and they were married until Arthur's death on August 29, 1896. They had children Helen Keller, Mildred Campbell (Keller) Tyson, and Phillips Brooks Keller.
