Arthur Burton Marcher of Cambridge, Chittenden County, VT was born on May 6, 1889 in Underhill to Edward H Burton Marcher and Phoebe Alice (Provost ) Marcher. He had siblings Jennie (Marcher) Archambault, Lewis Edward Marcher, Carrie M (Marcher) LaFreniere, Julia Ada (Marcher) Metcalf, and George Dewey Marcher. He was in a relationship with Luna Belle (Wright) Marcher beginning August 27, 1916 in Fairfield, Franklin County, and had children Ardelle Beatrice (Marcher) Smith, Earle Harold Marcher, and Virginia Lucille (Marcher) Larivee Leno. Arthur Marcher died at age 80 years old on May 16, 1969 in Burlington, Chittenden County, and was buried on May 16, 1969 at Mountain View Cemetery in Cambridge, Lamoille County.

Lived in Fairfield Vt The St. Johnsbury and Lamoille County Railroad (StJ&LC) was constructed in the 1870s as the Vermont Division of the Portland and Ogdensburg Railway to connect theGreat Lakes with the seaport of Portland, Maine. The westerly connection with the Great Lakes was never made. The eastern end of the Vermont Division was leased to theMaine Central Railroad in 1912, and the remainder of the line became a subsidiary of the Boston and Maine Railroad. The Boston & Maine operated their segment as the St. Johnsbury and Lake Champlain Railroad after 1925. This segment was reorganized as the St. Johnsbury and Lamoille County Railroad in 1948.[1] Fairfield 1942 he lived in Cambridge Vt. had no telephone. Was 52. Self employed Farmer
