Professional Career

My grandmother started a little ceramic shop in a little play house she had in her back yard. Then she taught ladies to do ceramics and it moved into an extra room that she had in her house. From there her and my grandfather moved out in the country and she had a big garage that she had ceramic classes in and my grandfather poured what they call slip into a bunch of molds for the items that the ladies used tools to clean off the seams with and then painted. My grandmother would put the items in what they called a kilen and would back them and the ladies would paint them and they would bake them again. My grandmother moved to a store in town and taught lessons there. This is something that she really do love to do.
