    Anthony Steve Shupenko is the son of Anna Nawojczyk (1889-1952) and Wincenty "William" Szuplenko Shupenko (1883-1944). He was born on June 13, 1914 in Claremont, Sullivan, New Hampshire and had siblings Adolph Stanley (1917-2002), Michael Frank (1917-1940), John J (1919-1974), and Appolonia Lena Shupenko (1921-2006). He enlisted into the military on June 4, 1942 and served in the United States Army until his discharge date of September 30, 1945. Anthony married Helen Louise Brooks (1929-1981) on July 8, 1950 in Windsor, Vermont, USA. The couple later divorced on March 2, 1954. Anthony was living in Claremont, Sullivan County, New Hampshire, USA and on Janauary 15, 1990 he passed away there and is buried at Saint Marys Cemetery there.

    Anthony Shupenko died at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH on January 15, 1990. He was born in Claremont on June 13, 1915; the son of William “Wincenty” and Anna (Nawojczyk) Shupenko. He served in the U S Air Force during World War II. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Windsor, VT at various positions and lastly in the shipping department. He retired in 1977 after forty years of service. He was a forty year member of the American Legion Post 29, a thirty two year member of Oliver LaCasse Post 808 of the VFW, a seven year member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1201, and a member of the American Association of Retried Persons. He was preceded in death by brothers Michael in 1944 and John in 1974. He is survived by brother Adolph Shupenko of Claremont and sister Lena Plant of Sunapee, NH. Burial is in St Mary’s Cemetery.
