She was born in Liberal, KS, grew up in Cheyenne, WY, and completed her freshman year of college at Philips University in Enid, OK. She then transferred to the University of Denver where she completed her Bachelor's in English, and met my father, Morton (NMN) Roth. After two years, she married my father and moved to Denver. They soon moved to Tucson, where my father worked for Martin-Marietta as a procedures writer for the space program. Mother was raised in the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, and was president of her Christian Youth Fellowship at First Christian Church in Cheyenne, WY. She went off to college and quickly became a lapsed Christian, and eventually, she claimed to be an atheist, but really was more of an agnostic. Two nights before she died she decided she'd been wrong, and received Christ. She was very afraid that she waited too long, and it would be too late for Christ to accept her. I assured her that if Jesus could be on the cross and tell the criminal next to Him that, "Today, you will be with me in Paradise," then she wasn't too late.
