Anna Fucik is my Bohemian grandmother, (Babi)
Babi loved me unconditionally. We were close & I loved her very much. She took care of me when I was two, while my mother was in a sanatorium for TB. I thought I stayed with her for a weekend. I was 40 b4 I found out it was two years! Her love saved me from a dysfuntional, abusive childhood. She was amazing. So much more to share. Would love to meet surviving grandchildren of Anna's other 3 sisters. They lived in Chicago. Babi was head pastry chef at WMU & she owed her own restaurant in Oshtemo MI. She had two daughters; Viola (Parker) & Doris (Van Dam).
