During Angelo's junior and senior year in high school, he was named "all-state" in both basketball and cross-country in Rhode Island, where he attended prep school for 4 years.

Obituary

According to his obituary in The Los Angeles Times (Oct 31, 2007), Angelo was born to Dianne Renee and the late Angelo John Spezze. He was born and raised in Los Angeles CA and attended Portsmough Abbey School in Rhode Island where he excelled in cross-country and basketball (he set several sports records). After graduating in 1994, his great love of basketball could be seen daily at the Hollywood YMCA and the NBA Entertainment League. He attended Weidner University where he appeared in "Blood Knot", which earned him a Kennedy Foundation nomination. On television, he appeared in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" among others. His film work included roles in "Groove", "Underclassman" and "The Rookie". Following his passion for music, he recently began a new career as a tour manager working for bands such as Incubus, Course of Nature, and Slayer. He is survived and will be missed by his mother Dianne Renee and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
