Angeline (Kolk) Jankowiak of Phoenix, Maricopa County, AZ was born on August 16, 1904 to Michael Kolk and Frances Kolk. Angeline Jankowiak had siblings Stephen Kolk, Henry Kolk, Myrtle (Kolk), Irene Kotarski, Edith Brzeczkowski, and Jay Nishik. She married Stanley James Jakiel in Buffalo, Erie County, New York United States, and they were married until Stanley's death in 1932. They had a child Stanley James Jakiel. She married Edward Jankowiak, and they were married until Angeline's death in February 1972. They had a child Kenneth Jankowiak.

Grandma

"Grandma Angeline" was my father's mother. Her first husband, Stanley Jakiel (my father's father) died at the age of 29. She later married Edward Jankowiak, whom we called "Poppa," the only grandfather I ever knew. Grandma taught me how to sew (straight stitches on her sewing machine) and how to play pinochle. She died when I was a senior in high school -- I remember her vividly and lovingly!
