    Anella D. Oldham, 78, of Peoria passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 28, 1932, in Lagonda, Mo., to Roscoe and Ruth Regenold Chrisman. She married Gene Oldham on Dec. 6, 1952, in Sacramento, Calif. He survives. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Ellen Terrell in 2006; two granddaughters; and one sister. Anella devoted herself to her family and God, helping others as a longtime volunteer at the St. Joseph Home and at St. Thomas Parish, working as the lunchroom manager at the school and later as a co-chair for the Martha group and coordinating church fundraisers. She was a founding member of the Whitecap Drifters Boat Club, serving on the board and as social chairman. Anella demonstrated a true servant's heart, giving freely and sharing her abundant love, kindness and warmth through words, deeds and her cooking. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by the people and the animals, great and small, who shared her life. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Church.
