Martain, born in 1866, and she had two sisters: Nellie and Anna; and one brother Edward Riley. Amelia J. Martain married Bernard Ashton Raborg (1887 - 1978) in 1911 in Virginia and they had three children: Frederick, Florance, and Leslie Raborg. Amelia was survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Previously thought to be "useless" land - not even good for farming - the tribe had bought the land themselves. The discovery of oil made the Osage the "richest group of people in the world" at the time.
