    Aloysius worked throughout his life as a lumber salesman, a laborer and in the 1930 US census he was located in Oregon working on his 'own' farm. In the 1940 US census he and his wife were living in Grandview, Washington and owned their own home, though he was retired. As stated in the 1950 US census, Aloysius was living at St. Vincent's Home for the Aged (Private Home) in Seattle, WA. He was an 83 year old widower, and had been living there for at least a year.

    Aloysius married Mary Elizabeth King June, 1, 1892 in Conception, Nodaway, Mo. The couple had no children. Aloysius became a naturalized US citizen on August 31, 1934 while living in North Plains, Oregon. He is described in his paperwork as white, dark complexation, brown eyes and gray hair...standing 5 ft 11 inches and weighing about 180 pounds.
