    Allen H Hoover was born to Calvin Marshall Hoover (1894 - 1964) and Buna Vista Allen (1902 - 1977) on October 16th, 1922 in Dallas, Texas and he had seven siblings: Geraldine, James, Willie, Patricia, Johnnie, Charlotte, and one more sister. when Allen was born, his father was an auto mechanic and his mother was a housewife, according to his birth certificate. Note: Allen's Social Security record says that he was born on October 16th, but his obituary and his World War draft card give his date of birth as October 15th. On his World War II draft card, Allen described himself as being five feet nine and 1/2 inches tall and as weighing 145 pounds. He had blue eyes, blonde hair, and a "dark" complexion. Allen Hoover married Ara Ruth Green (1923 - 2006) on April 16th, 1942 in Lamar County, Texas. He then married Etola Hobbs, born in 1930, and they had one son, Joe, and one daughter, Jane. Allen was survived by grandchildren Kimberly, Robert, Peter, and Stephanie.
