4 Memories, Stories & Photos about Alicia

Alicia Jackson-Cold Case w/ Known Suspect but No Evidence?
On December 2, 2010, Alicia Jackson (Harrisburg native) was fatally stabbed over 30 times in front of her 2 year old son Jeremiah. The horrific crime occured in their home located in Columbus, OH which was shared with Jeremiah’s father Eugene. Alicia deserves that her killer(s) face the consequences for what they did to her. There was no signs of forced entry meaning Alicia was comfortable enough to let her assailant in her home. Both Alicia’s cell phone and computer were taken during the attack. The gruesome details of the attack point towards this being a crime of passion. Detectives believe the assailant is a female connected to Eugene. Jeremiah was secure in a highchair untouched throughout the entire ordeal. Alicia was known to be a distinguished individual throughout her short life. She has left behind a loving family that is devoted in making sure she receives justice for the life she was robbed of. Most importantly Jeremiah deserves to know the truth about what happened to his mother and that everything possible was done to reveal that. All it takes is one person to speak up with any information for that needle in the haystack to be found. Thank you to People Magazine for covering Alicia’s story.

Also recently posted on the same website, "LipstickAlley":

Tonight I saw a post for a People magazine article about Alicia Jackson, a woman who was stabbed to death (over 30 times I believe) in front of her 2 year old in the winter of 2010. The article being shared on Facebook led me to the deceased’s page and I scrolled pretty much back to when she was murdered as her family and friends post a lot. I’ve gathered from the family’s posts that they are pretty sure they know who murdered her and seem to be calling out the suspect (who is apparently on Alicia’s Facebook friends list still) as well as friends and family of the deceased’s boyfriends for protecting the suspect. They mention “she” a lot as well as envy and jealousy. My best guess is that this was possibly a side chick of Alicia’s boyfriend or someone he was romantically involved with at some point that wanted Alicia out of the picture?

Sorry for the lack of details, it really got to me reading this story tonight and I don’t know if any crime has ever been solved due to LSA but I figured it would help with awareness in the least. You can see and hear the hurt and frustration in her family even 12 years later. The person who has been fighting to keep her spirit alive is her cousin and I’m guessing she would be the contact for any important information. This happened in Ohio.

Anyone have any tips for awareness, solving this crime or know anything about this case at all? It’s bugging me that it seems like it’s an open secret who brutally murdered this woman in front of her baby and I’m pissed reading that. Honestly.

Mom found dead, child nearby
This story was published in the Columbus Dispatch on Feb 8, 2011 - written by Theodore Decker

Alicia Jackson had a bachelor's degree in architecture, a master's degree in city and regional planning, a 2-year-old son and a boyfriend she hoped to marry.

"She was the kind of person everybody is drawn to," said her grandmother Audrey Jackson.

Alicia Jackson, 25, was found stabbed to death in her Northeast Side town house Thursday night. Columbus police have released few details and have not made any arrests in the slaying, the 102nd homicide in the city this year.

Jackson's boyfriend, Eugene Wilson, called 911 just after 9p.m., saying he had come home to 4144 Helenrose Lane and found their back door open and Jackson dead on a couch.

The couple's 2-year-old son, Eugene Jeremiah IV, was there but unharmed. Audrey Jackson, who lives near Harrisburg, Pa., said Wilson told family members by phone that the child was sitting in a high chair.

"Whether he witnessed all this, that's our concern," Jackson said of the child.

In the 911 call, a sobbing Wilson begs for paramedics and police to hurry, saying his girlfriend has been stabbed repeatedly in the head, neck and chest.

"Please, please, hurry," he says. "Oh my God, oh my God!"

Wilson can be heard attempting CPR at the dispatcher's instructions but is distraught. At one point, he tries to calm his son, saying to the toddler, "It's OK, it's OK."

It was unclear when the attack occurred, but the child's baby-sitter saw Alicia Jackson about 7 p.m., authorities said.

Police used dogs to track someone who headed away from the north side of the building, but they eventually lost the trail. Investigators took into evidence a discarded rubber glove found on nearby Silver Rod Lane.

Wilson couldn't be reached for comment yesterday.

Audrey Jackson said relatives were told that Jackson's son was temporarily with Children Services. She said that Wilson is at his parents' home in Akron and that they planned to file for temporary custody on Monday.

Jackson said her granddaughter came to Ohio in 2003 to attend Ohio State University. She stayed after completing her master's degree and was working as a research associate at Community Research Partners, an E. Broad Street nonprofit organization that collects and analyzes data in central Ohio for local governments.

Jackson graduated from Central Dauphin East High School in central Pennsylvania, where she played softball and violin and was voted homecoming queen her senior year, her grandmother said.

More recently, Jackson had taken up running and just completed a half-marathon, she said.

"Everybody thought very highly of her," she said. "We just can't imagine anybody who would do that to her."

Alicia Jackson's father is a mechanical engineer, prompting her interest in architecture and planning, she said. Jackson and Wilson met at Ohio State.

"We're just trying to process it all," her grandmother said. "We wanted to plan a wedding for her because she was talking about getting married, and now we're planning her funeral."
