    Alice Pleasance (Liddell) Hargreaves is believed by some to be the inspiration for Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Regardless of whether or not Lewis developed the story based on Alice, he definitely told her the Alice in Wonderland story during a boating trip prior to the book being written. Alice was the fourth of the ten children of Henry Liddell and Lorina Hanna (Reeve) Liddell.
