    Alice (Jarvis) Sproule was born to Henry William Jarvis (1831 - 1902) and Mary Ann Clarke (1833 - 1871). Both of her parents were born in Tasmania, Australia. Alice Jarvis first married Thomas Edwin Adams (1845 - 1887) on June 28, 1880 in Hobart, Australia. They had one daughter, Beatrice Mary Adams (1882 - 1969). Alice (Jarvis) Adams then married Edward Sproule (1842 - 1939) on August 10, 1892 in Snug, Australia. They had children Laurence Victor Harold Sproule (1892 - 1972), Ivo Claude, Gertrude, and Alice Irene Sproule.
