Alice Ellen Matthews 1874 - 1940

Alice Ellen (Matthews) Spargo of Malvern, City of Stonnington County, VIC Australia was born in 1874 in South Melbourne, Port Phillip City County to Ralph John Matthews and Frances Eva Float. Alice Spargo had siblings Harriet Elizabeth Matthews, William Benjamin Matthews, Frederick Thomas Matthews, Adeline Esther Frances Matthews, Beatrice May (Matthews) Adams, Grace Mabel (Matthews) Nelson, Elsie Letitia Matthews, Hazel Evelyn Matthews, Ralph John Matthews, and Herbert Alfred Matthews. She married Sydney Alexander Duncan Turnbull in 1908. She would also marry Albert Spargo in 1911. They had children Elsie Spargo, Alma Spargo, and Bertha Spargo Murnane. She was the parent of John Matthews. Alice Spargo died at age 65 years old on July 1, 1940 in Malvern, City of Stonnington County.
