    Army Air Corp, flew in WW2, C-47 (assisted in paratroop drops) and B-17s. Flew 4 combat missions over Germany with the 306th bombardment group, 8th Air Force in B-17s. Once the aircraft was hit, and participated in manually transfer of fuel from storage to engines while returning from a mission. This tooks place over the English Channel. Also, flew over Russian occupied Germany for aerial spy pictures to capture troop placements. Also played piano at USO shows in England as a part of big bands and/or smaller groups.

    School Teacher, (Art) Niagara Falls High School and LaSalle HS. Painted many pictures and portraits. Musician, very fine piano and exception accordian player. Not so good flute player.

In 1921, in the year that Alfred F Mis was born, hugely popular Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, silent film star, was arrested for rape and manslaughter after an actress died following a party at his house. He was acquitted after three trials and the jury wrote a formal letter apologizing for the charges, but his career never recovered. His films were at first banned - the ban was lifted after a year - and he was mostly ostracized by the community. He died at 46..
