Alfred Edward Gartrell 1889 - 1978

Alfred Edward Gartrell was born on September 21, 1889 in Orange, NSW Australia to James Henry Gartrell and Mary Jane (Searle) Gartrell, and had siblings Roy James Gartrell, Victor Raymond Gartrell, and Leslie Norman Gartrell. He married Margaret Anne Gartrell in 1914. He would also marry Lorna Madeline (Johnstone) Gartrell in 1923. Alfred Gartrell died at age 88 years old on February 25, 1978 in Newcastle, and was buried at Sandgate Cemetery 116 Maitland Rd, in Sandgate, Newcastle City Council County.
