Alfred Edgar Secretan was born in 1862 to Frederick Hughes Secretan and Emily Secretan ( Roberts, and had siblings Florence Emily Fricke ( Secretan, Isabella Secretan, and Emily Secretan. He was in a relationship with Jessie Murdoch Secretan ( Robertson, and had children Sydney John Secretan and Gladys Annie Inman ( Secretan. Alfred Secretan died at age 69 years old in 1931.

    The Argus, Melbourne. 29th April 1889. Marriages. SECRETAN - ROBERTSON. On the 13th ult., at the bride's sister's residence, Faraday-street, Carlton, Alfred Edgar, only son of F. H. Secretan, Esq., to Jessie, youngest daughter of the late George Robertson, Esq., of Ballarat.
