Alexander Harry Govan of Ballarat, City of Ballarat County, VIC Australia was born in 1871 in Sebastopol to James Wilson Govan and Agnes Catherine Wilson. He had siblings Catherine Govan Dow, James Govan, Robert Govan, Margaret Mary Govan, Walter Govan, Jean Govan Mathers, William George Govan, John Govan, and Albert James Govan. He married Ethel Elizabeth Margaret Neill in 1889, and had children Wilson James Govan, Alma Mary Govan, Irene Ethel Govan, Lilian Edna Govan, Beryl Joyce Govan, Alexander Govan, Roy Govan, Esmeralda Norma Govan, and Isobel Valda Govan. Alexander Govan died at age 64 years old on April 11, 1936 in Ballarat.
