He had siblings Herbert Vivian Shugg, John Samuel Shugg, Myrtle Shugg, Louisa Jane Shugg, Minnie Eliza Shugg, Doris Rose Shugg, George Thomas Shugg, Walter Roberts Shugg, Bessie Gladys Shugg, Edna Jean Shugg, Olive May (Shugg) Belcher, Albert Roy James Shugg, and Barbara Ann Shugg. Alexander Shugg died at age 75 years old on February 18, 1968 in Chadstone, City of Monash County.
